The Story Of Rupp Rafters
Rupp Rafters is a family-owned and operated business specializing in the design and manufacture of high quality timber frame homes and barns. We sat down with owners Matt and Karen Rupp to learn more about their story, how they got into the business, and what sets their homes apart from others on the market.
What are Rupp Rafters?
Rupp Rafters are a group of University of Kentucky basketball fans who stand and wave their arms during games, creating a “sea of blue” in the stands. The tradition started in 1975 and continues today. Every game, the rafters fill up with fans wearing blue, waving their arms and cheering on the Wildcats.
The tradition started with just a few fans, but has grown over the years to become one of the most iconic things about Kentucky basketball. There’s nothing quite like seeing the whole arena filled with blue and hearing the crowd go wild.

How Rupp Rafters Are Made
Rupp rafters are made from the finest materials available. Only the strongest and most durable woods are used to create these beautiful pieces of artwork. The wood is first cut into long, thin strips that are then shaped and sanded into the perfect size and shape for your home.
Once the wood is cut and sanded, it is time to stain and seal the rafters. This process gives the rafters their rich, deep color and protects them from the elements. After they are stained and sealed, the rafters are ready to be installed in your home.
Rupp rafters are an excellent choice for any home. They are beautiful, durable, and add character to any space. If you are looking for a unique way to add style to your home, consider Rupp rafters.
